Define the bar function
A bartender can cover agreed bar preparation, service, restocking and close-down. Explain what you plan to serve and how the bar is arranged before the team and timings are decided.
A welcome drink, a bar open throughout the event and a bar opening after dinner involve different schedules. Mention any particular drinks or service requirements so they can be assessed in advance.
Include restocking glassware, ice and supplies, plus sorting and waste at close-down. Practical support behind the bar can be discussed as a separate barback role, with responsibilities and hours included in the overall plan.
Staff hire is not automatically a complete bar package
